Understanding Source Documents
Source documents are documents you create your content in using a content authoring tool such as Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, or an authoring environment that supports DITA authoring, such as Adobe FrameMaker, XMetaL, or other XML content authoring tool. After you prepare your source documents, you use your source documents to generate output.
